Mindfulness & Embodiment Group led by Faith Brandt, LPCC
About Kindful Body’s Mindfulness & Embodiment Group
This 6 week group will introduce mindfulness and embodiment practices to adults, who are interested in increasing their ability to be in the present moment. Mindfulness is described as, “ awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally,” - Kabat-Zinn. Mindfulness can be accessed through a variety of practices including breath work, formal meditation, movement and visualization, each of which will be explored in the group.
MIndfulness practices will allow you to increase presence in your relationships, decrease anxiety/depression, increase your ability to respond rather than react and increase your sense of appreciation for the little things in life. The classes will include space for journaling, deep reflection and group sharing.
