You’re likely pretty tired; exhausted might be a better word. With the onslaught of diet culture and incredibly targeted ads on your phone, it feels like there’s no sacred place to get peace from the negative thoughts about yourself and your body. I am here to help you not feel so overwhelmed and confused as we work together to shed some loving kindness on those painful beliefs. No matter who you are, you are worthy of care and acceptance.

My Approach

My style is pretty grounded in a client-centered approach and maintaining unconditional positive regard for those I get the pleasure of working with. With the belief that you can heal and some well placed humor, we will explore the areas of your life you feel stuck in as well as challenge the thoughts that keep you from living a wholehearted life.

My Journey and Education

I received my BA degree in Psychology, having every intention of pursuing a PhD. With the help of some amazing faculty, I got a position as a neuropsych tester at a UCLA lab for two years, where I quickly learned that my interest was not in data crunching but rather in the stories from our participants. I got my MA Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have enjoyed getting to experience different levels of care: Residential, PHP, and IOP, and having had the privilege of watching clients foster new insights and make inspiring progress. I feel so grateful to have found myself in a career that encourages personal growth and curiosity, as this in turn enhances the clinical work I share with clients. Which usually translates to: I would not ask you to do something I would not also be willing to do myself.

Online Therapy

Your time is valuable and having to travel to a therapist’s office can sometimes be a barrier to getting the support you want and deserve. Studies have shown that video therapy can be equally as effective as in-person therapy. I use HIPAA-compliant video software that allows you to participate in the comfort and privacy of your own home. Sessions function the same way as in-person therapy without the added time and cost of travel.
